Job Description:

A fast-scaling next-generation aviation business developing cutting-edge electric propulsion and autonomous UAV platforms. Operating at the intersection of hardware, software, and high-performance systems engineering, this company moves rapidly from concept to flight building technology that is making aviation cleaner, quieter, and more capable.

Based in Milton Keynes, this is a rare opportunity to join a well-funded, ambitious team at an exciting stage of growth, working on aircraft systems that genuinely matter.

The Role

A hands-on, practical role supporting the integration, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and avionics systems across build and flight test environments.

You’ll work across the full aircraft lifecycle from initial wiring and installation through to ground and flight test embedded within a collaborative team of engineers, mechanics, and flight test specialists. This role is open across experience levels; whether you’re early in your career or an experienced technician, there is a position here for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Installing avionics, electrical, and electronic components into aircraft platforms
  • Building, routing, and securing wiring harnesses, looms, and connectors
  • Carrying out crimping, termination, and connector assembly to required standards
  • Supporting integration of sensors, control systems, power systems, and communications
  • Performing functional testing, power-on checks, and system validation activities
  • Supporting execution of test procedures and recording results for engineering teams
  • Providing hands-on support during ground and flight test campaigns
  • Diagnosing faults using test equipment including multimeters and continuity testers
  • Carrying out rework, repairs, and modifications as required

What We’re Looking For

  • Hands-on experience with electrical or electronic systems — aviation, UAV, automotive, robotics, or similar hardware environments all relevant
  • Experience working with wiring harnesses, connectors, and electrical assemblies
  • Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Fault-finding and diagnostic experience across electrical or avionics systems
  • Comfortable with workshop tools and basic electrical test equipment
  • Exposure to fast-paced build, integration, or prototype environments is a strong plus
  • Practical, methodical, and detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving mindset
