Technical Manager
SkilledCareersarecurrentlyworkingwithalongstandingclientwhoarelookingtohireaTechnicalManagertoleadresidentialledprojectsinthesoutheast,theTechnicalManagerwillbeofficebasedwithsitevisits.
Thefamilyowneddeveloperhaveahistoryofdeliveringhigh-qualityhomesinthesoutheastwithagreatworkenvironment.
TheTechnicalManagershouldhaveexperienceindevelopment/contractingandleadingrcframeresidentialprojects.
Responsibilities
- Overseethepreparationoftheoptimisationprocessthroughtosignoff
- Brief,manageanddrivetheexternalconsultantsinthepreparationandissueofproductioninformationtoanagreedprogramme
- PreparetechnicalspecificationsinlinewithrequirementsdeterminedbytheLandAcquisitionbudgetandTechnical/SalesMeetings
- Ensureallstatutoryenquiries,crossovers,sewerconnectionsaresubmittedandpursuedfortheirtimelyreturn
- OverseetheNHBC/BuildingRegulationsapplicationstoapproval
- EnsurethatworkingdrawingsareinaccordancewiththeapprovedPlanningScheme
- PreparationofHealth & Safety Plans
- MonitorandcontrolallproductioninformationincloseliaisonwiththeDevelopmentEstimatortoensuretightcostcontrolsarekeptandinformationproducedinlinewithbudgetestimates
- OverseepreparationofBrochurePlans,ConveyancePlansandSalesAreadrawings
- Attendsiteprogressmeetingandcarryoutsiteinspections
- Attendmeetingsatvariousstagesofprojects(Technicalhand-over,ProjectMeeting,Optimisation,Technical/Sales,BudgetMeetings,etc.)
- Generalliaisonandcoordinationbetweenotherparties,bothinternalandexternal
- AttendSubcontractorinterviews
- RespondtositequeriesandresolveTechnical/Constructionitemsthatmayarise
Skills & Requirements
- Developerormaincontractorexperienceessential
- Experienceofworkingonlargemulti-unitRCframeresidentialprojects
- Good/Excellenttechnicalknowledgeofbothresidentialandcommercialconstruction,togetherwithadegreeofflairfordesign
- TheexperienceortheabilitytounderstandthecomplexitiesofcomplexmixeduseRegenerationprojects
- AworkingknowledgeofBuildingRegulations,CodeforsustainableHomes,NHBC(ortheWarrantyProviderrequired),PartyWallAwardsandassociatedlegislationconnectedwiththeconstructionindustry
- Tohavegoodinterpersonalcommunication,meetingandmanagementskillsessentialindealingwithmulti-disciplinedteams
