Contract C++ Developer – Fintech/Multithreaded C++ Fully Remote

Were currently looking for an experienced C++ Contractorto join a fast-paced engineering team on an initial 6-month remote contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-performance, real-time software systems using modern C++ technologies within an agile environment. The role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable applications, and contributing from day one.

The Role

Youll be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance C++ applications
• Working on real-time, multithreaded software systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
• Participating in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, testing, and code reviews
• Troubleshooting complex technical and performance-related issues
• Supporting application performance tuning and infrastructure optimisation

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years commercial experience developing multithreaded C++ software systems on Linux
• Strong experience building real-time C++ applications
• Experience working within fast-paced Agile development teams
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ standards, particularly C++17
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
• Experience with profiling, memory leak detection, and code analysis tools
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
