Job Description:

About The Role

This is a part‑time vacancy of 20 hours per week on a rota basis across 7 days of the week. In your role as an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC‑One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC‑One you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.

As an Activities Co‑ordinator you will plan and implement activities that delight our residents, help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events, and support residents to socialise and enjoy new activities based on their hobbies. You will work closely with the care home team to involve everyone, fostering a sense of kindness above all else.

We are looking for someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Great planning, organisational and IT skills, and the ability to manage your time effectively are essential. You should be considerate, kind and able to communicate effectively with residents and co‑workers.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if there are concerns, attend safeguarding training appropriate to your role and undertake additional training in associated areas. You should also be able to seek appropriate advice, report concerns and, if required, escalare action.
