MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading drinks FMCG business to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager.

This is a high-impact commercial role responsible for developing and growing business across European markets, with a strong focus on new business acquisition alongside key account management.

You will take ownership of a portfolio of customers while actively identifying and converting new opportunities across key channels. This is an ideal role for a commercial “hunter” with strong KAM foundations, looking to operate in a broader international remit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and win new business opportunities across European markets
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline, converting leads into long-term commercial partnerships
  • Lead commercial negotiations, tenders, and customer pitches
  • Represent the business at trade shows, events, and customer meetings
  • Manage and grow key customer relationships across multiple markets
  • Deliver against revenue, volume, and profitability targets
  • Build and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned to customer and company objectives
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution, range, and visibility
  • Manage P&L performance across accounts, including pricing, margin, and forecasting
  • Use data and insight to drive decision-making and performance improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams

You will work with a broad range of OOH and multi-site customers, including:

  • Wholesale and cash & carry
  • On-trade (pubs, bars, hospitality groups)
  • Travel and leisure operators

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience within drinks FMCG (essential)
  • Strong track record in business development and key account management
  • Experience working with wholesale, on-trade, or multi-site customers
  • Demonstrated ability to win new business and grow existing accounts
  • Commercially astute with experience managing P&L, pricing, and margin
  • Confident in leading negotiations, tenders, and customer presentations
  • Highly proactive, with a strong hunter mindset
  • Comfortable operating independently and managing multiple priorities
