What Is the Opportunity?

As our Risk Pricing Manager, you’ll drive profitability and competitiveness by crafting innovative pricing strategies that keep us ahead of the pack. This role blends technical execution and collaborative leadership, acting as a bridge between technical and non‑technical teams and translating complex concepts into actionable insights for the business.
What Will You Do?
- Build and refine technical pricing models to accurately quantify risk and optimise our pricing structures.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments to understand how internal and external factors influence the market, then develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor performance closely, making real‑time adjustments to pricing strategies to ensure we consistently hit our profitability targets.
- Partner cross‑functionally with underwriting, actuarial, and product development teams to ensure our strategies are unified.
- Utilise advanced tools like Python, R, and SQL alongside industry‑standard software such as Earnix or Radar to improve model accuracy.
- Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends and competitor moves to ensure we remain a pioneering choice for our customers.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
- Highly analytical, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a similar quantitative field.
- An industry expert with significant experience in insurance pricing and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
- Technically proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and comfortable using tools like Earnix, Emblem, or Radar.
- A strategic thinker who can develop innovative solutions to solve complex business challenges while maintaining profitability.
- A collaborative leader who is passionate about mentoring junior team members and fostering a high‑performing culture.
- Resilient and adaptive, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage changing priorities with honesty.
