As an Audit Semi-Senior – Social Purpose you will:
- Manage a Dual-Exposure Portfolio: Act as the lead on smaller trading audits to build end-to-end file management skills while simultaneously assisting lead seniors on large, complex charity and not-for-profit client assignments.
- Control the Full Audit Lifecycle: Complete audit files from initial risk-based planning sections right through to completion, including drafting the financial statements, management letters, and letters of representation.
- Supervise and Brief Advancing Juniors: Actively supervise less experienced members of the audit team, taking responsibility for briefing them, delegating testing work effectively, and delivering performance appraisals post-job completion.
- Deliver Systems and Control Recommendations: Evaluate client accounting systems during fieldwork and communicate directly with the audit manager to make proactive, quality-driven recommendations for process improvements.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Be Actively Part-Qualified: Currently studying toward your ACA qualification with a documented commitment to acquiring and recording your requisite professional CPD.
- Possess External Audit Experience: Hold practical experience working as an audit junior within a professional accountancy firm, including direct exposure to utilising electronic audit software programs.
- Demonstrate Sector Commitment: Exhibit a clear desire and proactive attitude toward working directly with charities, social purpose organisations, and not-for-profit entities.
- Understand Sector Regulations: Maintain a practical awareness of the specific statutory procedures, laws, and regulations that apply to charity accounting and audit compliance.
