Role Overview
As the appointed Employment Partner, you will head the team and provide expert advice to both private and public sector clients on all aspects of employment law. You will drive strategic employment projects such as outsourcing and restructuring, manage compliance initiatives, advise on executive severance and trade union issues, draft employment contracts and policies, and lead full‑scope employment tribunal and High Court litigation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide advice on all aspects of employment law to a wide range of clients.
- Lead strategic employment projects including outsourcing, restructuring and compliance.
- Advise on executive severance and trade union/collective issues.
- Draft and negotiate employment contracts and policies.
- Lead employment tribunal and High Court litigation, including restrictive covenant enforcement.
- Maintain a loyal portfolio of clients through practical and sound legal advice.
- Represent the firm in a dynamic and supportive environment, remaining calm under pressure.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 7+ years experience qualified solicitor (PQE) with strong academics.
- Grounding in both contentious and non‑contentious employment law.
- Business and commercial mindset with ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- Proof of experience in advising on strategic HR projects and high‑value litigation.
