Role Title: Product Manager, GBUK Patient Handling Division
Location: Field-based (UK-wide) with regular travel and occasional international visits
Join GBUK as we continue to grow and innovate in patient handling. This is a new role, and has arisen due to growth.
We’re looking for a commercially minded and clinically aware Product Manager to take ownership of our market leading Patient Handling portfolio. This is a high-impact role where you’ll act as the product expert, shaping product strategy, supporting the sales team in the field, and driving the lifecycle and success of key product ranges.
This role would particularly suit someone with hands-on experience or strong understanding of manual handling practices, who can translate real-world clinical challenges into meaningful product improvements and customer value.
What you’ll be doing….
- Own and develop the Patient Handling product portfolio, maximising performance and profitability
- Act as the go-to expert for product knowledge, with a strong grounding in manual handling best practice
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, and Operations to deliver product updates, launches, and improvements
- Provide hands-on field support, including product demonstrations, training, and customer engagement
- Support customers and sales teams with practical guidance on safe and effective patient handling solutions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity, particularly within the manual handling and patient safety space
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers on product development and change control
- Support new product development (NPD) and contribute to successful product launches
- Develop and deliver high-quality, practical training materials for both internal teams and customers
- Play a key role in customer feedback, complaints handling, and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for…
Essential:
- Background in medical devices or healthcare
- Experience in a customer-facing role (Product Management, Sales, Clinical Training, or similar)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to translate insight into action
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Good understanding of patient handling and manual handling principles, ideally gained in a clinical or field-based environment
Desirable:
- Product Management or Product Development experience
- Knowledge of the NHS landscape and procurement processes
- Project management experience
- Hands-on manual handling experience (e.g. clinical settings, training roles, or working with patient handling equipment)
