Tool Room Engineer 4 on 4 off day 0600 – 1800 Days only

Accountable to Toolroom Supervisor

Role

To undertake a wide variety of Engineering tasks within the workshop environment.

Mandatory Responsibilities

  • Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
  • Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
  • Promote and Display the Epwin Core Values.

Role Responsibilities

  • Interpret Engineering drawings to conduct repairs and modifications on Extrusion tooling
  • Utilise workshop machinery such as CNC wire eroders and Milling machine, laser welder, vertical milling machines, centre lathe and surface grinders.
  • Assist when required with any tooling matters.
  • Complete tasks on time and efficiently.
  • Ensure quality is achieved through attention to detail.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Work within a team Environment.
  • Maintain a very high level of housekeeping at all times in the workshop and around machines.
  • Understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Endeavor to find new ways of doing things and learn from past experiences.
  • To look to improve working practices, systems and processes in the tool room.
  • Maintain good communication with your colleagues at all times.
  • Adhere to company policies, systems of work and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards covering your job.
  • Be prepared to undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Skills/Abilities

  • Level 3 qualification in Engineering
  • Engineering aptitude.
  • Experience of CNC wire erosion and laser welding (Preferable)
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Ability to use a PC to an operational level.
  • Time served apprentice (preferable)
