As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will:
- Lead the on-site execution of assurance assignments, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, thoroughly, and in strict accordance with the firm’s quality procedures.
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, managing expectations and identifying opportunities to provide added-value specialist services.
- Provide vital “on-the-job” training and supervision for less experienced team members, reviewing their work for adequacy and completeness.
- Identify and communicate complex or contentious technical issues to managers early, proactively suggesting practical solutions to ensure smooth assignment delivery.
- Manage project budgets by monitoring actual time spent versus estimates, performing final review procedures before passing files for manager approval.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Be fully ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong technical background in audit and assurance.
- Demonstrate proven experience in leading on-site audit teams and producing high-quality assurance reports within a practice environment.
- Possess a strong track record of client handling, with the ability to maintain professional relationships at all levels.
- Have specific experience or a strong interest in working with Owner-Managed Businesses (OMBs) and applying an analytical review approach to assignments.
