Paediatric Endocrine CNS – University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Southampton, SO16 6YD. Hours: Part time. Job type: Permanent. Posting date: 21 May 2026. Closing date: 4 June 2026. Salary: £39,959 to £48,117 per annum (pro‑rated).
Overview
Join the paediatric endocrine team at Southampton Children’s Hospital, a major centre for specialist endocrine services across the south of England. The role involves care for children and young people with endocrine disorders, working closely with consultants, specialist nurses, junior doctors and other specialty services.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate paediatric endocrine care for inpatients, outpatients and day‑case investigations.
- Deliver clinical advice, support and education to patients, families and staff.
- Participate in MDT meetings, regional Wessex Endocrine Network activities and inter‑specialty discussions.
- Support education, training and development of junior staff and trainees within the department.
Qualifications & Experience
- Paediatric nursing experience at Band 6 preferred, not essential; ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
- Experience managing a busy and diverse clinical workload.
- Commitment to delivering high‑standard care and continuous improvement.
