We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager or Manager to join our Employment Taxes team, with a particular focus on global mobility advisory work. The role combines core employment tax compliance responsibilities with increasing exposure to advisory projects, particularly those involving internationally mobile employees and cross-border issues.
The successful candidate will work across a diverse client base, supporting both compliance delivery and the identification and execution of advisory opportunities.
The responsibilities
- Deliver global mobility advisory support including short-term business visitors, remote working, PAYE/NIC implications and cross-border employment issues
- Manage the employment tax compliance cycle, including P11Ds, PSA, STBV and ERS reporting
- Identify advisory opportunities arising from compliance work, particularly in relation to internationally mobile employees
- Support clients with employment tax risk reviews, policy design and process improvements
- Provide technically accurate advice on employment tax matters including pay and benefits, employment status and payroll compliance
- Assist in supervising and mentoring junior team members and reviewing their work
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment tax and global mobility developments
The team
The Employment Taxes team provides a mix of compliance and advisory services across a broad client base. The team has an established global mobility offering, working with clients on cross-border employment tax matters, alongside wider employment tax compliance and advisory work.
You
- Experience in employment tax compliance with exposure to global mobility work
- Good technical grounding in employment taxes, with an interest in developing global mobility expertise
- Ability to identify advisory opportunities and contribute to client solutions
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Effective communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients
- CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification (or working towards)
