Lead the introduction of cutting‑edge RF and electronics products into high‑performance manufacturing, driving advanced technologies from prototype to scalable production.
Our client is a specialist electronics manufacturer working on RF and mmWave technology used in high-performance communications systems. They are growing their manufacturing capability, with a clear focus on turning complex designs into stable, repeatable production.
Role overview
This NPI Engineer role is about getting new products into production properly. As an NPI Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for moving RF and microwave assemblies from early builds through to volume manufacture, making sure processes are practical, controlled and scalable. You will:
- Own the transition from prototype builds into production
- Plan and support pilot builds, resolving issues as they come up
- Work with design engineers to improve manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
- Set up production processes, tooling and work instructions
- Put in place process flows, control plans and supporting documentation
- Support ramp‑up and work on yield and efficiency improvements
- Lead root cause work using methods like 8D, DMAIC and FMEA
- Experience working as an NPI Engineer or in a similar manufacturing‑focused role
- Background in electronics or another high‑reliability environment
- Experience taking products from development into production
- Understanding of process control and manufacturing readiness
- Comfortable working with design, quality and production teams
- Engineering qualification or equivalent hands‑on experience
This NPI Engineer role offers a straightforward opportunity to work on technically demanding products without unnecessary layers. It’s well suited to someone who prefers being close to the manufacturing process and wants to have a clear impact on how products are built and scaled.
