Storage Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Scale-Out Storage Engineer with strong expertise in Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon) to join our growing infrastructure team. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-scale storage solutions that support critical business operations.

Summary

• Design, deploy, and manage PowerScale (Isilon) scale-out storage environments
• Monitor and optimise storage performance, capacity, and availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and complex technical issues
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to support business requirements
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and expansions
• Ensure best practices in data protection, replication, and disaster recovery
• Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon)
• Strong understanding of scale-out storage architectures
• Experience with NAS protocols (NFS, SMB/CIFS)
• Knowledge of storage performance tuning and capacity planning
• Familiarity with backup, replication, and disaster recovery concepts
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Dell EMC ecosystem tools and technologies
• Exposure to cloud-integrated storage solutions
• Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Knowledge of data lifecycle management and compliance
