Who You Are
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results. We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer who will identify and understand complex customer needs and requirements, develop and customize solutions using Geotab’s open platform, and support partners in overcoming business challenges.
What You’ll Do
The Senior Solutions Engineer plays a foundational role in supporting Geotab’s ecosystem. You will work closely with stakeholders in sales, customer care, product management, and other solutions engineering teams to drive business objectives, develop tools and educational content for internal teams and external partners, and provide feedback on product and development initiatives.
You will also:
- Develop and maintain expert‑level knowledge of Geotab solutions as a subject‑matter expert.
- Engage and collaborate with strategic partners and end‑users to optimize their utilization of Geotab technology.
- Collaborate with revenue‑generating teams as a technical resource to identify and deliver effective solutions.
- Translate technical capabilities into tangible business value and conduct discovery and requirements analysis for technical demonstrations and pilots.
- Ensure partner and end‑user satisfaction through prompt and accurate service.
- Support partner upskilling and provide insights aligned with industry verticals.
- Assess complex partner and end‑user challenges and propose alternative approaches when necessary.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the company’s offerings through feedback loops.
- Maintain accurate documentation of engagements, solution designs, and deliverables.
- Manage high‑impact projects and strategic customers/partners, ensuring seamless implementation and success.
- Create and enhance processes, handle escalations, and drive change.
- Mentor Solutions Engineers and support team members.
What You’ll Bring To This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in solutions or sales engineering.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- Experience in software engineering, data analysis, or systems integration with a customer‑facing focus.
- Expert knowledge of telematics, IoT, APIs, and related technologies.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, or C# and API integrations.
- Proficiency with Agile work management, ticketing, and customer‑relationship tools such as JIRA and Salesforce.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Superset or Power BI.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate across sales, product development, and customer support.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Customer‑focused mindset with commitment to understanding complex client needs.
