Summer Civil Enforcement Officer

Location: Skegness

Hours: Flexible*

Contract Length: Fixed Term Contract (until 31st October 2026)

Salary: £12.71 per hour plus £1,000* retention bonus.

We currently have multiple positions available with flexible working patterns, including 3, 4, and 5 days per week.

Do you enjoy working outdoors and would like to have a positive impact on your local area? Do you want to work for a large and diverse company but in a small and friendly team? We are recruiting Civil Enforcement Officers in Skegness on a fixed term contract from 1 April until 31 October 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all drivers follow parking policies on public streets and car parks.
  • Ensure emergency vehicle access is not blocked and the road is safe for the public.

Civil Enforcement Officers patrol public streets and council car parks to enforce parking regulations, issue Penalty Charge Notices, report defective signs and road markings, identify and report abandoned vehicles, and advise motorists where required.

What will you bring?

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with an appropriate level of English.
  • A desire to work outdoors, walking long distances in all weathers on patrol.
  • A full UK clean driver’s licence, essential for deployment to other enforceable locations in a company vehicle.

What is on offer to you?

  • Full uniform.
  • One late shift per week (11:30–21:30); the other four shifts are daytime hours notified in advance.
  • Hourly rate of £12.71.
  • Flexible hours: 3 days (30 hours per week), 4 days (40 hours per week), or 5 days (45 hours per week).

Retention Bonus Terms & Conditions

There will be a £1,000* retention bonus paid at the end of your employment, subject to the following criteria:

  • You do not leave the role before the end of the fixed term contract.
  • You have no or minimal absence during this period.

If a permanent contract is offered at the end of the fixed term, you will no longer qualify for the retention bonus, but will receive a permanent role instead. (Pro‑rated based on start date and contractual hours).
