Business Continuity Specialist
Barbican, London | Hybrid Working | Commercial | Fixed-Term Contract: 12 Months | Full Time (37.5 hours per week). Competitive salary available, depending on experience.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you will lead and accelerate our Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and operational resilience agenda. You’ll play a key role in evolving Nuffield Health from a compliance-led position to a mature, enterprise-wide resilience model, ensuring we can effectively respond to and recover from disruption while safeguarding patient safety, operations, finance, and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of Business Continuity Plans across critical services, from development and testing through to governance and continuous improvement
- Design and deliver scenario-based testing to validate resilience and strengthen organisational readiness
- Establish and embed governance frameworks with clear ownership and accountability across the business
- Partner with senior stakeholders across clinical, technology, finance, and operational teams to deliver a prioritised resilience roadmap
- Integrate business continuity and resilience requirements into new systems, change initiatives, and transformation programmes
- Drive continuous improvement, ensuring BCP evolves in line with organisational risk and strategic priorities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Business Continuity Planning within a complex organisation
- Strong technical awareness and understanding of operational resilience frameworks
- A track record of translating strategy into practical, fast-paced delivery
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Experience in healthcare or another regulated environment (desirable but not essential)
