Own and continuously improve the finance systems landscape across EMEA. Act as the hands‑on subject matter expert for core finance systems while leading and delivering finance transformation and systems enhancement initiatives across a growing multi‑country finance organisation.
The role combines deep functional systems expertise with strong project delivery, stakeholder management, training, and change leadership. The successful individual will play a key role in shaping the future finance systems roadmap across EMEA, driving automation, process optimisation, reporting enhancement, and AI‑enabled transformation initiatives.
This role is the front‑line systems leader for Finance: accountable for system performance, adoption, training, governance, and the successful delivery of enhancements that improve control, efficiency, scalability, and decision‑useful data.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Systems Ownership (EMEA)
- Act as the primary finance systems expert and key point of contact for Finance users across EMEA.
- Own day‑to‑day administration, configuration, security, governance, and data integrity for core finance systems (including Yardi).
- Lead system support, issue resolution, and root‑cause fixes — not just workarounds.
- Define and enforce finance system standards, controls, and best practices.
- Provide leadership and direction across finance systems operations, including management of a Finance Systems Administrator.
- Act as the key relationship owner for relevant external finance systems vendors and partners.
- Lead finance systems and ERP enhancement roadmaps across modules, upgrades, automation, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Translate finance and operational requirements into system design and functional specifications.
- Manage end‑to‑end delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives, including scope, timelines, dependencies, testing, cutover, and stabilisation.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver transformation initiatives on time and to standard.
- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, automation, and AI‑driven solutions to improve finance operations and reporting capabilities.
- Run multiple finance transformation and systems initiatives in parallel, balancing pace, control, and stakeholder engagement.
- Own change management activities including communications, release planning, adoption tracking, and embedded usage.
- Build strong relationships across Finance and wider business stakeholders to drive successful adoption and delivery.
- Provide clear updates to senior finance leadership on risks, dependencies, project progress, and roadmap priorities.
Training & Enablement
- Design and deliver role‑based finance systems training across EMEA.
- Build scalable training materials, user guides, and onboarding content.
- Act as the trusted escalation point for finance systems capability development and continuous improvement.
Data, Controls & Insight Enablement
- Ensure finance systems support strong internal controls, audit requirements, and data governance standards.
- Improve reporting, dashboards, and self‑service analytics capabilities (e.g. Power BI).
- Champion automation and efficiency opportunities across transactional, reporting, and operational finance processes.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience owning and enhancing finance systems / ERP platforms within a complex organisation.
- Finance or accounting background with strong understanding of financial controls, finance processes, and data flows.
- Strong track record delivering finance systems, ERP, or transformation projects end‑to‑end.
- Hands‑on systems expert comfortable configuring, troubleshooting, testing, training, and supporting finance platforms.
- Strong project and change management capability with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Confident communicator able to influence, train, challenge, and business partner with stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Experience working within fast‑paced, evolving environments with a strong focus on continuous improvement and transformation.
- Travel is expected to be less than 5%.
Preferred
- Practical experience with Yardi Voyager or similar ERP platforms.
- Experience supporting multi‑country / multi‑entity finance environments.
- Experience gained within finance transformation, ERP implementation, or consultancy‑led environments.
- Power BI or similar reporting / analytics experience.
- Exposure to automation, AI‑enabled solutions, or process optimisation initiatives within Finance.
