Job overview

Location – Cumbria and Lancs Area.

Type – Permanent

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and flexible individual to the role of Ambulance Liaison Officer based within the Cumbria and Lancs area of NWAS.

Responsibilities

  • Attend Acute Trusts across the area as required, managing the handover process from ambulance resources to Acute Trust.
  • Utilise supervisory experience to lead and influence decisions within the Acute Trust setting.
  • Maintain effective communication, influencing decisions, and ensuring efficient handover.

Qualifications

  • IHCD Qualified Paramedic

Knowledge/Experience

  • Thorough practical understanding of Service policies and procedures, especially divert/deflection guidance.

Specific Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with others.
  • Effective interpersonal skills – written, verbal, and listening.
  • Ability to motivate and lead others.
  • Time management, decision making, and organisational skills.
  • Hold a valid EU Driving Licence with C1 category (no more than 3 endorsement points; up to 6 in exceptional circumstances).
  • Possession of IT skills.
