Job Overview

Artek UK is looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to oversee technical aspects of engineering projects from planning to completion. The ideal candidate will coordinate between design, production, and client teams to ensure project goals are achieved within time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and monitor engineering and technical projects
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors or suppliers
  • Create and interpret technical drawings, project documentation, and specifications
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with UK engineering standards
  • Provide technical guidance during design, manufacturing, and installation phases
  • Report regularly to senior engineers and project managers
  • Participate in quality control checks and site inspections
  • Troubleshoot engineering or implementation issues during the project life cycle

Key Skills Required

  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (based on project type)
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., Auto-CAD, Solid Works, MS Project)
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Project planning, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Understanding of UK building regulations, safety standards, and quality procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field)
  • 2–4 years of project or site engineering experience
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is an advantage
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) – preferred but not mandatory
