Position: Project EngineerLocation: SelbySalary: £40,000 to £50,000Hours: 08:00AM to 17:00PM – Monday to Friday

Overview

Full‑time on‑site Project Engineer required for a switchgear provider based in Selby. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day project management, planning, design, and engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire project life cycle from order to invoice.
• Lead mechanical design using Inventor.
• Create electrical design schematics.
• Efficiently order parts.
• Supervise the manufacturing process of the project.
• Handle amendments and variations.
• Conduct Witness Testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Coordinate deliveries and installations.
• Organize Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Serve as the sole client interface.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience in project management and project engineering.
• Ability to plan and execute projects from initiation to completion.
• Proficiency in electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Some knowledge of Inventor & AutoCAD (required).
• Competence in reading, producing, and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Previous experience in the switchboard or power distribution industry (preferred).
• Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
