Please be advised that the successful applicant may be required to support deaf children and young pupil in a wide range of settings. This could include homes, nurseries, mainstream primary and secondary schools, as well as special schools. Jobholders must hold a Signature/SQA Stage 3 Certificate in British Sign Language and be working towards Level 6, as well as 3 Standard Grades, including English, or equivalent qualification, or suitable relevant experience of working with deaf people. Jobholders must also have experience of working with deaf young people and their teachers in an educational setting and working with people requiring interpretation from spoken English to BSL.
