In your role, you will help enable Intact Insurance to deliver its Broker Financial Solutions strategy with confidence and pace. You will support sustainable growth by providing trusted legal insight on complex transactions, helping the business make informed decisions while strengthening governance, partnerships and long term value across the UK and wider Group.
Qualifications and Experience
- UK qualified solicitor with experience advising on corporate finance matters across debt and equity transactions.
- Background in private practice or in house within financial services, banking or insurance, with an understanding of UK governance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong technical legal, drafting and negotiation capability applied to loan documentation, equity investment documentation and related corporate agreements.
- Confidence working autonomously on complex and high value transactions, managing priorities while drawing on support within a small and collaborative legal team.
- Commercial and pragmatic approach, with the communication skills and credibility to influence senior executives and support strategic M & A activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing clear, practical legal advice on debt and equity investments, supporting broker financing transactions and ongoing governance arrangements.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, helping them understand legal and structural risk to enable sound commercial decisions.
- Supporting the delivery of the Broker Financial Solutions strategy by managing legal risk and ensuring transactions progress efficiently.
- Working collaboratively with finance, strategy, risk, compliance and company secretariat colleagues to deliver aligned and integrated advice.
- Contributing to wider corporate activity, including mergers and acquisitions and strategic projects across Intact Group.
