Job Description:

Corporate / Commercial Solicitor (2–6 PQE)

Location: London

Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits

Practice Area: Corporate / Commercial

The Opportunity

A highly regarded growing law firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Corporate / Commercial Solicitor (2–5 years’ PQE) to join its growing transactional and advisory team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer seeking genuine breadth of work across both corporate and commercial matters, rather than a purely M&A-focused role. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a diverse range of transactions and advisory projects, supporting a broad client base including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, entrepreneurs, investors, and larger corporate clients.

The Role

The successful candidate can expect to advise on a broad mix of matters including:

Corporate

  • Mergers, acquisitions, and disposals
  • Management buy-outs and buy-ins
  • Private equity and venture capital investments
  • Shareholder arrangements and joint ventures
  • Corporate restructurings and reorganisations
  • General company law and governance advice

Commercial

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Terms and conditions of business
  • Supply, distribution, and agency agreements
  • Service agreements and outsourcing arrangements
  • Partnership and collaboration agreements
  • Advising on day-to-day commercial and strategic business matters

This role offers strong client exposure, responsibility from the outset, and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience gained within a recognised corporate/commercial team
  • Experience across a broad range of corporate transactions and commercial contracts
  • A genuine interest in developing a mixed corporate/commercial practice
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and technical skills
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Confidence in managing client relationships and working as part of a collaborative team

We are particularly interested in candidates who have developed breadth of experience across corporate and commercial matters, rather than lawyers whose experience has been focused exclusively on mainstream M&A work.

Why Apply?

  • High quality and varied work
  • Direct partner access and mentoring
  • Genuine career progression opportunities
  • Strong collegiate culture
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits package
