Role Overview

Commissioning Manager – Adult Social Care (ASCH) at Nottinghamshire County Council. This is a permanent, full‑time position (37 hours per week) based at County Hall, West Bridgford, NG2 7QP, with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of commissioning strategies.
  • Conduct joint strategic needs assessments to inform service delivery.
  • Manage staff, contracts, and partnerships to drive high standards.
  • Strengthen the evidence base for effective practices in adult social care.
  • Champion co‑production and ensure decisions are shaped by the voices of people who draw on care and support.
  • Collaborate with health and care partners to enhance service delivery and outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • A relevant qualification in health or social care, or equivalent experience.
  • A solid understanding of community care services and legislation, including the Care Act 2014.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating effective strategic commissioning and market development.
  • Demonstrable evidence of improving outcomes for people in need of care and support.
