Job Description:

As a recruitment consultant at Contract Scotland, you will be responsible for finding and placing the right candidates in a wide range of roles across the construction and engineering sector. You will manage the end‑to‑end hiring process, which includes sourcing and engaging candidates, assessing CVs, organising interviews, negotiating offers and providing onboarding and aftercare support. Building strong relationships with both clients and candidates is a key part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and engaging candidates across various platforms.
  • Assessing CVs and shortlisting suitable candidates.
  • Organising and coordinating interview schedules.
  • Negotiating offers and facilitating the onboarding process.
  • Providing post‑placement support and aftercare to ensure client and candidate satisfaction.
  • Maintaining and developing client relationships to understand their hiring needs.

Experience & Personality

  • Existing recruitment experience is not required, but any relevant background will be an advantage.
  • Experience in sales or customer service, especially B2B, is valuable.
  • Energy and enthusiasm to keep team morale high.
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace new technology and change.
  • Ambition and a drive to excel in the role.
  • Persuasive communication skills that foster strong relationships.
