Severn Trent is looking for a Process Technical Lead to set and maintain high standards in process and chemical engineering design for capital delivery projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Set standards, templates, tools and processes to ensure our designs are technically and regulatory assured.
- Drive standardisation, consistency and quality across the Process/Chemical Engineering and Functional Safety disciplines within the design function.
- Lead hazard studies (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPAS) and embed risk‑management and safety principles into all aspects of design and operations.
- Explore opportunities to deploy tactical short‑term research and development and adopt new techniques and technologies to benefit the capital programme.
- Develop and mentor apprentices and engineers in their discipline throughout the design function to grow their skills, capabilities and qualifications.
- Accountable for Functional Safety determination within the Capital Design and Delivery function.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience providing technical leadership to a large programme of capital works.
- Experience working in a design environment at a senior level.
- A strong record of innovation and challenging conventional solutions.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
