Job Type: ContractDuration: A few monthsHours: Rotating shifts – 6:00 pm to 2:00 am and 2:00 am to 10:00 pm, weekly rotation

Salary: £20.67 per hour (PAYE + Holidays)Location: Flint, Wales – commutable from South Wirral, Deeside, Wrexham, Chester, Holywell

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain engineering stores and parts.
• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM) work on production machinery – bearings, shafts, rollers, pneumatics, conveyors, check weighers, flow wrappers, metal detectors, and cutting machinery.
• Identify and resolve basic electrical faults.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers to manage workloads and support plant operations.
• Contribute to continual improvement of the preventive maintenance system.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferably HNC level).
• Strong manufacturing background in reactive and PPM work.
• Solid mechanical engineering experience with production machinery.
• Basic electrical fault‑finding skills.
• Mechanical bias 70/30 (mechanical/electrical).
• Proactive, flexible, and able to manage independent workloads.
