Overview
We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established main contractor on a permanent basis. The role involves working on a 10‑year framework covering health, residential and government building refurbishment and new build. Typical project values range from £0.5 million to £8 million.
Duties
- Analyse tender returns and collate information for discussion with the team.
- Support the team to strengthen and improve the existing supply chain.
- Compile and issue sub‑contract orders, ensuring signing and return with supporting documentation.
- Review and sign off on sub‑contract applications and prepare/issue payment notices.
- Undertake detailed internal and external cash‑flow forecasts.
- Produce monthly AFA’s for clients.
- Produce monthly valuations and agree with clients.
- Work closely with the site team to ensure all costs are recorded; provide support as needed.
- Issue variation orders when required, ensuring relevant documentation is available to substantiate.
- Attend site visits to support both the commercial and operational sides of the business.
- Compile, complete and issue detailed and accurate CVR’s to directors.
Ideal Candidate
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency using office IT applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word or equivalent software.
