Job Description:

EHS Manager – Group Operations

Do you want to be part of a business going through exciting growth and transformation? Are you an EHS professional who thrives on improving standards, developing people, and driving a positive safety culture across a fast-paced construction environment?

We are looking for an ambitious and influential EHS Manager to join our Group EHS team and help shape the future of health, safety, and environmental performance across our business.

With over 20 live construction sites and continued growth across Yorkshire and North Midlands, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond box-ticking and play a genuinely strategic and operational role within the company.

The role:

You will be visible across the business from live construction sites to pre-development meetings providing hands-on support, coaching, leadership, and expert guidance where it matters most:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop our EHS Advisory team through coaching, site support, and continuous professional development
  • Deputise for the Group EHS Director and help influence senior leadership and business strategy
  • Develop and implement Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures that drive real operational improvements
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality training across the business
  • Be the first point of contact for EHS support and coordinate resources across the team
  • Conduct accident and incident investigations, ensuring lessons learned are embedded throughout the business
  • Support high-risk activities onsite and provide oversight of inspections and audits
  • Work closely with design, technical, and commercial teams to ensure safety is considered from the earliest stages of development
  • Travel regularly across regions, building strong relationships and supporting operational teams on the ground

About you:

We are looking for someone who can confidently influence at all levels, someone who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.

You will ideally have:

  • NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • Experience within construction, housebuilding, or a related industry
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring, or developing EHS professionals
  • The confidence, credibility, and resilience to challenge, influence, and drive standards forward

We believe Harron Homes is a place for everyone, no matter where you come from, what you look like or how you identify.

Please note due to the volume of applicants, if you have not heard from us within 14 days, please accept this as confirmation that we will not be progressing with your application further on this occasion.
