Key Responsibilities

  • Own the international talent and succession strategy for critical leadership and specialist roles.
  • Ensure pipelines reflect future consumer, innovation and growth priorities.
  • Translate insight into clear actions: development, redeployment and selective external hire.
  • Define leadership capability priorities aligned to consumer‑first strategy and transformation.
  • Own leadership and management programmes (Thrive, ILDP, Coaching Academy).
  • Embed a learning‑led, high‑performance culture linked to capability gaps and outcomes.
  • Ensure hiring decisions are driven by long‑term capability needs, not vacancies alone.
  • Integrate talent acquisition with succession planning, talent reviews and capability analysis.
  • Embed DEI principles and standards, including across talent practices.
  • Ensure wellbeing and engagement are enablers of sustained performance.
  • Use talent data, analytics and insights to inform decision‑making and challenge assumptions.
  • Own organisational effectiveness blueprints covering operating models, role clarity and change.
  • Provide practical toolkits to enable leaders and HRDs across markets.
  • Work with HRDs to provide organisational effectiveness consultancy advice on key strategic programmes.
  • Custodian of global talent data and reporting.
  • Lead the talent team through an HR systems transformation programme.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing, specialist talent and OE team.
  • Balance strategic design with hands‑on delivery and execution excellence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven senior experience leading talent, leadership and/or organisational effectiveness agendas within FMCG, consumer goods or similarly complex, fast‑paced organisations.
  • Strong people leadership capability, with experience leading specialist teams.
  • Deep, end‑to‑end expertise across the talent lifecycle, spanning leadership development, performance and potential frameworks, succession planning, workforce capability and talent acquisition.
  • A strong track record of embedding talent and leadership programmes into the business, driving execution, adoption and measurable impact.
  • Track record of building learning and capability‑led cultures aligned to business performance.
  • Experience designing and enabling organisational effectiveness and change through practical blueprints, toolkits and frameworks.
  • Credibility and confidence operating with GMs and senior leaders; commercially minded and delivery focused.
  • Enterprise Talent Leadership – Leads and embeds end‑to‑end talent, leadership and capability agendas aligned to business performance and future needs.
  • Execution & Delivery Focus – Translates strategy into clear priorities, practical frameworks and sustained implementation.
  • Organisational Effectiveness & Change – Designs and enables OE and change approaches that improve clarity, effectiveness and decision‑making.
  • Commercial & Strategic Judgement – Links talent and capability decisions directly to performance, risk and growth outcomes.
  • Senior Stakeholder Influence – Operates with confidence and credibility at GM and senior leadership level; able to challenge and align.
  • People & Team Leadership – Builds, leads and holds specialist teams accountable for high‑quality delivery.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in federated or multi‑market models.
  • Exposure to large‑scale transformation or capability shifts.
  • Background spanning talent, OD and OE.

Benefits

  • Yearly bonus based on personal contribution and financial performance.
  • Flexible working options.
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and the option to buy and sell holidays.
  • Onsite gym and wellbeing centre.
  • Perkbox – employee discount scheme with discounts online, in high street stores, cinema, holidays, restaurants and many more.
