Senior Global Commodities Trader – Base Metals & Energy

Responsibilities

• Run the base metals derivatives and energy trading book;
• Execute clients’ orders, including energy or commodities derivatives related to ICE or LME;
• Interact directly with clients, internal stakeholders as well as the Sales/ Trading team and other back-office departments as appropriate to facilitate trade processing, clearing and settlement etc. to ensure smooth operations;
• Monitor the trading limit and exposure all the time and report the trading PnL in a timely manner;
• Developing trading strategies and building new products;
• Provide client support services and maintain good relationship with clients;
• Help assess clients’ risk exposure, monitor positions and marginsensure prompt margin payments;
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree holder or above in Business Management, Mathematics or related disciplines preferred;
• At least 5 years of extensive experience in energy and base metals derivatives trading;
• Competent regulatory and compliance knowledge for commodities;
• Numerical sensitive, strong language and communication skills;
• Able to work on different work hours with good time management skills ;
• Excellent in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) written and spoken.
