A new and exciting opportunity hasarisen for an innovative andtalented leader whose main purpose is to consistently monitor, evaluate andcontrol/increase the efficiencies in the Operations Department, in line with thedepartments Key Performance Indicators. They will anticipate and strategically identifyareas for improvement, action strategies to overcome barriers, and make theOperations Department as efficient as possible.The post holder will report any avoidable breaches, with solutions, tothe Head of Operations.

Main duties of the job

The post holderwill manage and lead a team of colleagues within the Operations Department,whose principal responsibility is to act as the front line of a high standardof service in the safe and effective delivery of patient care through callhandling, dispatch and coordination of clinical care. During those daily business activities, thepost holder will use first class people management skills to create a supportiveenvironment; modelling, inspiring and encouraging a culture of inclusion andrespect.

Job responsibilities

This role willinvolve networking, contributing, producing and presenting at external meetingsacross various locations.

Using soundcommunication skills, the post holder will positively influence stakeholdersand engage by maintaining, and building on, good working relationships.

The role holder will be responsible for in the respective rolewhilst on duty. It represents a broadrange of tasks, which may be required to be undertaken, either routinely orperiodically.

Qualifications

  • Good standard of education GCSE or equivalent

Experience

  • Experience of working in a management capacity
  • Knowledge of Out of Hours Services/working with the general public
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of internal systems.
  • Experience of working in a pressurised environment, actively responding to a variety of priorities in the span of duty.
  • Experience in performance management/monitoring.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality regulations and protocols.
  • Knowledge of the NHS
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
