  • Work extensively with SIEM, Endpoint Protection, and threat detection tools

  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventative controls
  • Support forensic investigations when required

Vulnerability & Risk Management

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities
  • Identify security risks and propose practical, effective improvements
  • Collaborate across teams to continuously reduce organisational risk

Technical Leadership & Escalation

  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex or high‑impact issues
  • Support, mentor, and upskill Service Desk and 2nd/3rd Line engineers
  • Provide expert technical input into new and evolving managed service offerings

Compliance & Best Practice

  • Support compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and NIST
  • Assist with audits and ensure adherence to policies, standards, and controls
  • Improve tooling, monitoring, automation, and documentation
  • Drive efficiency, resilience, and service quality enhancements
  • Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and security trends

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Managed Services environment
  • Strong background in security operations and infrastructure security
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud security
  • Virtualisation experience (VMware and Azure)
  • Solid networking knowledge (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Endpoint Protection, or similar tooling
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Benchmarks
  • Experience with ITSM tools
  • BPSS or SC Clearance

Key Attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
  • Calm and effective under pressure
  • Collaborative team player with clear leadership ability
