Job Description:

Anderson Knight are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Group Accountant to join our clients large finance team in a high-profile role supporting group reporting, consolidation, financial compliance and business insight.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in enhancing group reporting capabilities, driving process improvements and developing impactful Power BI reporting solutions across the business.

Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, auditors, and operational teams, you will take ownership of the group consolidation process, statutory reporting, and financial analysis, while also helping to modernise reporting through data visualisation and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of Group year-end and half-year financial statements
  • Prepare statutory financial statements for subsidiary entities
  • Manage the monthly consolidation and group cashflow reporting process
  • Produce month-end management accounts for subsidiary companies
  • Support technical accounting matters and monitor emerging IFRS developments
  • Support the enhancement and automation of group reporting through Power BI
  • Develop insightful dashboards and reporting tools to improve decision-making across Finance and the wider business
  • Work with stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and financial visibility
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimise reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with the short-term cash forecasting model, including implementing process improvements
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team on integration activities related to acquisitions and corporate projects
  • Support the ongoing corporate simplification programme across the Group
  • Take ownership of ad hoc finance projects and process improvement initiatives

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Experience preparing statutory financial statements and group consolidations
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
