Development Executive Assistant
The role will suit a motivated individual and will provide executive assistant support to the Director of Development in the planning and delivery of the College’s philanthropic and alumni engagement activity. Operational seniority and experience are required to assure the operational efficiency of the team.
What will you be doing
- Supporting the day-to-day administration of the work of the Development Director.
- Organising fundraising meetings, sending meeting requests and dealing with the associated correspondence.
- Ensuring that the RE NXT database is maintained efficiently.
- Liaising with College staff, committees and the Fellowship, including minute‑taking for committees where the Development Director is Chair.
- Managing arrangements for all major donor meetings.
- Project management for national and international travel.
- Assisting with HR support and DARO recruitment.
- Assisting with stewardship for donor‑facilitated major awards, bursaries and prizes.
- Planning and executing timely communications with donors.
- Office management – dealing with office correspondence, office organisation, and carrying out general office duties.
- Maintaining and updating records, files and office spreadsheets in line with department, College and GDPR needs and requirements.
- Collaborating with the Master’s Executive Assistant and Bursar’s Executive Assistant together with other University and College Offices regarding development matters.
- Providing administrative and logistical support to the Alumni Relations and Events Manager for a range of Development Office and College events.

Gardener (Horticulture)
Corpus Christi College is seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified Gardener with a strong specialism in plant care. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the College’s historic and diverse gardens to an exceptional standard, contributing both specialist knowledge and practical support across all aspects of horticultural work.
Working as part of a dedicated gardens team, the postholder will be responsible for the care, cultivation, and ongoing development of a wide range of plants, ensuring seasonal displays and planted areas are maintained to the highest level. In addition to specialist duties, the role will involve general garden maintenance, including lawn care, mowing, pruning, and other seasonal tasks as required.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in horticulture or garden maintenance.
- Demonstrable expertise in plant care and a strong eye for detail and presentation.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
- A full, valid driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) qualification or equivalent.
- P.A.1 and P.A.6 spraying certificates (or willingness to obtain these).

Bedmaker/Cleaner
Corpus Christi College has vacancies for 1 Part‑Time Bedmaker and numerous Casual Bedmakers. Main duties involve daily cleaning of rooms, offices, toilets, and staircases. Applicants must have experience in a hotel, college or similar environment and demonstrate excellent cleaning skills including knowledge of chemical handling. A vocational qualification is also desirable. Some weekend working will be required.

You will be reporting to the Deputy Housekeeping Manager and will be part of a team of 24 staff, 7 of whom work at Leckhampton House the postgraduate site and the remaining at Old House for the undergraduates. You will be working both on your own and within your team to provide a first‑class cleaning service for the College.
Applicants must have the ability to work independently in a student & learning environment, be conscientious, hardworking and reliable. There will be a certain amount of climbing of staircases and carrying bulky items as well as busy conference periods. Flexibility is key to being successful in this role.
