Apprenticeship position. Anyone with more than six months professional experience working as a data analyst or who holds a degree or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Maths will not be eligible.

What Does a Data Analyst Do?
The Data Analyst role involves ascertaining how data can be used to answer questions and solve problems. Data analysis is a process of requirement‑gathering, inspection, cleansing, transformation and modelling to discover useful information, inform conclusions and support decision‑making. It encompasses diverse techniques under a variety of names.
Your Apprenticeship Journey
Year 1: Working with the designated college on modules during the first year you will cover modules including identifying data sources, liaising with customers, collecting, compiling and cleansing data and starting to produce data dashboards.
Year 2: Continuing to work with your designated college you will cover areas such as maintaining and developing reports, producing a range of standard and non‑standard statistical and data‑analyst reports and starting to identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in data.
Career Potential
Competitive starting salary of £21,000 in the first year, increasing to approximately £27,000 upon qualification. You will receive on‑the‑job training alongside a college education leading to a nationally recognised “Data Analyst” Level 4 qualification. Successful completion guarantees a permanent position at Vp if still employed at the end of the apprenticeship.

Some experience using data tools (SQL, Python, visualisation tools such as Power BI/Ta… ) is an advantage but not essential.
Qualifications – Essential
- 7 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9‑4 or A‑C including English and Mathematics
Applications are encouraged from graduates with related degrees looking for an apprenticeship route to a Data Analytics career.
