Generative AI Solution Architect Freelance

Location: London | Type: Full-time, Freelance | Start Date: ASAP | Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement AI-driven solutions that meet both business and technical goals
Work closely with teams across engineering, product, and data to identify high-impact AI opportunities
Define system architecture for AI applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure
Deliver solution blueprints and effectively communicate architecture decisions to stakeholders
Assess and recommend the right mix of AI tools, libraries, and frameworks for each use case
Build proof-of-concepts using tools like LangChain, LangGraph, and Semantic Kernel
Apply expert knowledge in Python to develop core components of AI pipelines
Design and implement advanced generative AI techniques including:
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Graph and Agentic RAG patterns
Evaluation and feedback loops for generative systems
Follow modern SDLC practices and use tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and architecture modeling tools
Stay current with AI trends and emerging technologies, rapidly translating research into practice
Apply foundational knowledge of ML, NLP, and data engineering to build effective AI systems
Work within cloud ecosystems, with a preference for Azure AI services and infrastructure

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

Professional certifications in generative AI or cloud architecture
Solid background in software architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns
Demonstrated experience leading development teams or mentoring engineers
Proficiency with ML libraries and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
Experience working in globally distributed or cross-functional teams
