Night Security Officer – SIA‑Licensed, Client‑Focused

Security Officer

Location: Witney, OX29 4BP

Pay: £13.45 per hour

Hours: 42 hours average a week, working 4 on, 4 off nights: 6pm – 6am

We are looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to provide a high standard of service at our site. This role involves protecting employees, visitors, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service and upholding core values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site; monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors while ensuring safeguarding of the premises

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Great customer service skills
• Strong communication skills in English – both written and spoken
