What You’ll Be Doing as a Hub Manager

As our Hub Manager (Nights), you’ll be the driving force behind safe, compliant and high‑performing night operations. You’ll lead and inspire a team of Operations Managers, ensure the hub runs like clockwork, and use data to make smart decisions that improve service, reduce cost and keep our people safe. You’ll also play a key role in strategic planning, supporting the Head of Hub and deputising when needed. This is a role for someone who thrives on pace, people and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Night Operations — Drive performance, compliance and safety across all night‑shift activity.
  • Develop High‑Performing Teams — Coach and motivate Operations Managers to deliver exceptional results.
  • Use Data to Drive Decisions — Analyse trends, costs and volumes to influence performance and resource planning.
  • Plan Resources Strategically — Ensure the right people are in the right place, with forward‑looking 6–12 month planning.
  • Champion Health & Safety — Lead our Go Home Safe culture and ensure all processes meet legal and company standards.
  • Support Strategic Growth — Work with the Head of Hub to deliver improvements, peak plans and commercial solutions.

  • Operational Leadership Experience — Strong background in hub or large‑scale logistics operations.
  • Analytical Mindset — Confident using data to influence decisions and improve performance.
  • People Leadership — Proven ability to inspire, coach and develop high‑performing teams.
  • Strong Communication Skills — Clear, confident and able to influence at all levels.
  • PC Literacy & Full UK Driving Licence — Comfortable with systems, reporting and travel between sites when required.
