We serve a population of 900,000, providing primary, community-based, and acute hospital services, as well as regional and national services across a range of clinical specialties.
Role Overview
The Pharmacy & Medicines Service aims to deliver clinically-led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian receive the best from their medicines. We recruit highly motivated, enthusiastic and professional pharmacists for ad‑hoc, flexible roles within our pharmacy team. Short- and long-term opportunities are available.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care in settings such as acute, mental health, community hospitals, or primary care GP practices.
- Support project work across services.
- Consolidate experience and gain new knowledge and skills, often leading to permanent employment.
Qualifications
- Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or equivalent.
- Completion of the Post-Registration Foundation Programme or demonstration of equivalent competence.
- Evidence of registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Work Conditions
- Flexible shift patterns to suit flexible working.
- No guaranteed fixed hours per week – demand‑led service.
- Work offered on an “as and when required” basis.
