Job Description:

Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and delivering leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Planners to join them on a construction project in Didcot, UK.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP.
  • Reporting to Planning Department.
  • Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management.
  • Developing and maintaining schedules for pre‑construction / construction / commissioning.
  • Developing and maintaining progress databases.
  • Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis.
  • Earned Value Management systems.
  • Monitoring schedule performance and productivity.
  • Auditing progress on site.
  • Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors.
  • Preparation of tender schedules and histograms.
  • Supporting weekly workface planning systems.
  • Resource / cash loading of schedules.
  • Providing data for payment applications.
  • Completing contract review reports.
  • Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports.
  • Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions.
  • Recording delay and disruption.
  • Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes.
  • Travelling to projects to carry out the above, if required.
  • Training staff, if required.
  • Covering Senior Project Planner responsibilities when required.
  • Exceptional Problem Solving capabilities.

You will need

  • 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent IT Skills – High Competency in MS Excel is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
