The Role

Senior Operations & Event Producer – based in London, hybrid (3 days in office, 1 day remote, Friday off). You will lead the end‑to‑end operational, production, and logistical delivery of our events, developing strategies, managing budgets, and driving collaboration to deliver outstanding experiences aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide the operations team.
  • Execute comprehensive event plans from concept to completion.
  • Foster strong vendor relationships and manage contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Event Director on strategy and execution.
  • Uphold brand guidelines and operational excellence across events.
  • Develop and monitor production schedules, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Lead post‑event evaluations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Influence cross‑functional teams to implement best practices.
  • Champion a culture of accountability and high standards.

Success Criteria

  • Strategic planning and execution with on‑time, within‑budget outcomes.
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management through effective negotiation and partnership.
  • Compliance with safety standards, performance analysis, and process optimisation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Hospitality, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in event management or operations, preferably in conferencing, exhibition, or festivals.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and operational delivery.
  • Track record of managing large‑scale, high‑profile events.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and decision‑making skills; ability to mentor and develop teams.
  • Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and project management tools such as Asana.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel internationally as required.

Core Skills

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of operational tasks for events.
  • Oversee logistics and coordination across all event elements.
  • Collaborate with Senior Event Director to align strategies with organisational goals.
  • Uphold brand guidelines and operational excellence consistently.
  • Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring seamless event execution.

Vendor and Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and venues.
  • Negotiate and manage complex contracts for security, medical services, and other operational needs.
  • Supervise partner and supplier activations to ensure successful delivery and alignment with event objectives.
  • Conduct overseas site visits and supplier meetings to foster trusting relationships.

Compliance and Safety

  • Develop and enforce robust health and safety plans throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Conduct advanced risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all legal, financial, and operational procedures meet regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Proactively address complex issues or incidents for swift resolution.

Enhancing Event Experiences

  • Lead delivery of diverse activations, including bespoke show floor setups, entertainment, and experiential elements.
  • Source and manage premium entertainment and engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure event signage and communications align with creative directives and brand integrity.
  • Partner with creative teams to push innovation while upholding brand compliance.
  • Advocate for cutting‑edge technologies to optimise outcomes.

Performance Monitoring and Optimisation

  • Analyse and report on event performance, operational efficiency, and attendee feedback.
  • Lead post‑event evaluations, driving actionable insights for future events.
  • Champion a culture of accountability and measurable results.
  • Drive problem‑solving initiatives and inspire the team to achieve outstanding results.
  • Collaborate with central teams to design, implement, and refine best practices.

Leadership Team Collaboration and Mentorship

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous growth within the operations team.
  • Act as a mentor and coach, guiding team members toward their full potential.
  • Optimise workflows to ensure deadlines and quality expectations are met.
  • Supervise onsite teams, empowering them to deliver exceptional results.
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Position Type

Permanent, with a 4‑day working week. Our hybrid model includes 3 days in office (Shepherd’s Bush), 1 day working from home, and every Friday as a non‑working standard day.
