Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team of engineers in Europe, focusing on ownership, skill growth, and autonomy.
- Provide feedback on product and technical specifications to guide scope and quality.
- Coach and enable engineers to handle large, loosely defined projects with minimal intervention.
- Participate directly in code – debug issues, ship fixes, and improve the developer experience.
- Drive improvements to generative data for demo accounts, impacting product, QA, and sales.
- Build and maintain automation that streamlines team workflows and reduces manual effort.
- Hands‑on engineering while ensuring not to be on the critical path.
Qualifications
- Passionate about both management and technical work.
- Strong technical background; able to hold in-depth conversations with engineers across infra, backend, and frontend domains.
- Experience and enthusiasm for solving management problems, giving feedback, and building supportive systems.
- High standards and attention to detail; comfortable giving constructive feedback to all team members.
- Empathetic communication skills and ability to navigate beliefs, opinions, and past experiences while fostering change.
- Deep understanding of what makes an exceptional engineer, including recruitment and growth.
- Comfortable working in a high‑trust, high‑autonomy environment and able to develop self‑sufficient engineering teams.
