At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer, at one of our main Cavendish sites.
- Deliver electrical, control and instrumentation engineering solutions across complex nuclear and defence projects
- Produce high-quality EC&I deliverables including control philosophies, requirements specifications, interlock definitions and software management plans
- Manage engineers and designers to ensure accurate, compliant and timely production of technical outputs
- Support hazard studies, design risk assessments and regulatory assurance activities
- Work closely with project managers, safety teams, customers and supply chain partners to integrate solutions successfully
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, based at any of our main Cavendish locations including Glasgow, Leicester, Bristol, Newbury, Warrington. Hybrid working patterns are available, with a minimum of working 3 days on site.
- Strong experience delivering EC&I engineering within regulated or safety-critical environments
- Proven background working with control systems, automation or instrumentation solutions
- Experience supporting nuclear, defence, energy or comparable highly regulated industries
- Ability to manage technical deliverables and support multidisciplinary project teams
- Clear understanding of safety, quality and compliance obligations
Qualifications for the Senior EC&I Engineer
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status or progress toward professional registration is advantageous
