Machinist (Precision Engineering) (BBBH25447) Harlow, England

Salary: £17 – £19 per hour. Working Monday to Friday, with overtime available, plus an enhanced holiday package, enhanced pension, employee cash plan, life assurance, and internal and external training.

This company provides a range of precision engineering and aviation services to maintain, repair and overhaul aircraft components. With decades of experience offering services from component repair and overhaul to NDT and inspection, quality is at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

• Use a range of machinery, including lathes, mills, jig borers and grinders, to perform repairs to customer equipment in accordance with approved technical data and order requirements.
• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance tasks on machinery as required.
• Comply with all safety requirements and ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Remove and install bushings, bearings, cups, and liners as required.

The Person

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Experience within the aerospace industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
