Governance Manager – Elizabeth Finn Homes
Annual Salary: £48k to £53k + benefits
Contract: Permanent / Full‑time – 35 hours a week
Location: Remote working with occasional travel to homes

What You’ll Do
- Act as the main point of contact for Health and Safety and provide day‑to‑day oversight of our external health and safety partner, ensuring a tailored service across the care home group
- Coordinate and conduct business process audits across departments, covering financial accountability, people management, food‑safety standards and workplace safety
- Manage third‑party contracts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Support the Finance Director with risk‑management reporting and updates
- Oversee complaints and compliments, coordinate investigations and propose resolutions with department leads
- Recommend efficiency and safety improvements to the senior management team and directors
- Lead the development and implementation of business continuity plans for the group
- Prepare papers and reports for day‑to‑day management, board committees and meetings on health, safety, business processes and audits
- Partner with L&D to deliver learning solutions that raise health & safety and risk‑management knowledge across the organisation
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience conducting audits and producing clear follow‑up reports
- Experience working with stakeholders to improve services
- Knowledge of governance, risk and health & safety compliance
- Strong written communication skills and ability to produce concise reports with actionable recommendations
