Job Description:

Corporate Finance Associate Director / Director

Are you looking to join one of the UK’s leading national corporate finance teams during an exciting period of expansion?

Our client, a highly respected National Firm of Chartered Accountants, is continuing to invest heavily in its Birmingham-based Lead Advisory Corporate Finance team and is seeking an experienced Corporate Finance professional at Associate Director or Director level.

This is an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in a growing and ambitious team, working on a broad range of high-profile transactions while developing your own market presence and long-term career prospects.

The role will involve taking day-to-day responsibility for transactions while working closely with Partners on business development initiatives, pitching for new mandates, and building strong relationships across the Midlands corporate finance market. Over time, you will establish both your own profile and that of the firm within the wider finance and investment community.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant or Investment Banker with significant post-qualified experience within a deals environment. You will have strong exposure to lead advisory M&A transactions, including:

  • Management buyouts (MBOs)
  • Management buy-ins (MBIs)
  • Acquisitions and disposals
  • Fundraising and debt advisory
  • Strategic corporate finance advice
  • Private equity transactions

As an Associate Director or Director, you will also play an important leadership role within the team, mentoring junior colleagues and overseeing technically complex assignments. You will be experienced across the full transaction lifecycle, including:

  • Preparation for sale
  • Financial analysis and information preparation
  • Business planning for private equity processes
  • Buyer research and pre-screening
  • Managing buyer approaches
  • Bid assessment and negotiation support
  • Legal and completion processes

Experience working on consumer sector transactions would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will already have an established network within the finance and investment community and demonstrate a strong commercial mindset, relationship-building skills, and the ambition to contribute to the continued success of a growing business.

With a clear pathway to Partnership for the right individual, this represents an excellent opportunity to join the firm at a particularly exciting stage of its growth journey.
