We’re looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join our team in Milton Keynes. This role offers a salary of £45,000 – £50,000 (DOE) and a hybrid working pattern.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to provide effective support across the employee lifecycle, working closely with Senior/HR Business Partners. The role will support people initiatives, employee relations activity and change programmes.

What you will be doing;

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures and people processes, escalating complex or high‑risk matters as appropriate.
  • Support HR Business Partners in delivering people‑related activity across assigned business areas, including performance management, absence management, employee relations and learning and development activity.
  • Lead on employee relations cases (e.g. short‑term absence, probation, conduct or performance issues, disciplinaries and grievances), with guidance and oversight from senior HR colleagues as required.
  • Support organisational change activity by preparing documentation, coordinating consultation processes and supporting managers with practical implementation tasks.
  • Contribute to annual HR lifecycle processes such as pay review, performance review, engagement activity and workforce planning.
  • Build effective working relationships with managers, HR colleagues and specialist teams (Reward, L&D, Talent Acquisition, Operations).

What you will need;

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards a recognised HR professional qualification.
  • Experience working in an HR advisory or generalist role.
  • Experience providing HR advice on policies, procedures and people processes.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law, and experience of applying this in practice.
  • Experience supporting employee relations activity, with exposure to a range of case types.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
